Joe Biden gets feisty at custard shop

So, readers, let’s see how Vice President Biden responds to a citizen that requested a tax cut. The owner said that if he lowed his taxes, he would call it even. Biden’s sad response was to call the store owner a “smart ass” rather than a proud American running a business that helps and supports our nation.

Biden’s latest comment came during a visit to Wisconsin where he was campaigning for Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold. When the vice president stopped at Kopp’s Frozen Custard for an icy treat, the shop’s manager casually suggested to the veep that the Obama administration “lower our taxes.” Biden’s response: “Why don’t you say something nice instead of being a smartass all the time?”

Biden’s defense is he was joking. No, Joe, you are being a smart ass. And you do it “all” the time. Anyone that votes for this man should be ashamed.

Lawmakers Planning To Crack Down After E. coli Breakouts

BOSTON –E. coli is a major problem for the food industry and a risk to public health. E. coli outbreaks have killed hundreds of people, sickened thousands and led to the recall of millions of pounds of hamburger, spinach, lettuce and other produce.

Now, lawmakers are considering passing a law that would ramp up FDA oversight of food safety. The regulations are still in the works, but already strong opposition is building among local farmers.

That was one of the headlines on the Boston channel a week ago.

Statistics Lie

Statistical lies are often fed to us in order to allow bureaucracy prosper. Here is a case in point. The article we site below is a case of government trying to destroy the small farmer by employing rules that make it so expensive for them to operate they will likely have to fold up shop.

Of course, government, as usual, attempts to pass such laws because, they are, after all, for our own good. In order to convince us that this action is for our safety, these are the statistics thrown at us…

Since March 1, more than 26 people in five states have been sickened from romaine lettuce. In 2006, there were three deaths and 276 illnesses after E. coli outbreaks linked to fresh spinach and iceberg lettuce. In 2009, two people died, dozens sickened after an E. coli outbreak linked to ground beef distributed on the East Coast. E. coli is a potentially deadly bacteria that can cause bloody diarrhea and dehydration.

Certainly, it would be truly wonderful if everyone in the world could be saved from every disease and calamity. But at some point, people have to realize, we all die. To statistically save one person at a cost of billions to taxpayers may sound like a noble cause, but taking even a small fraction of this money to feed the poor would save thousands if not millions. It is an ill conceived lie to bait you into building government.

Let’s look at the statistics. The statement that in 2006, three deaths occurred after outbreaks, means that 3/350,000,000 died. What were your chances of dying? Less than your chances of winning your state lottery ten times…in a row.

Since March, 26 people got ill? Think about the simple math!! That means less than one person had symptoms, no matter how minor, out of 13,461,538 people!!! Thirteen million to one!!

We are a nation that has no obvious priorities. What makes the press rules. One child dies and we must prevent it from every happening again at the cost of billions while millions starve because we can’t provide them basic medical needs such as vaccinations?

Don’t let the government make you believe in these lies. Statistically, it is a huge waste of money better spent. Logically, it is a fraudulent way to grow government in the name of safety.Popular Posts:

What does the election of a Republican Senator from Massachusetts mean? It means the Democrats now have to start answering to the American people. Balance was in order, and the most Democratic state in the nation voted Republican by a wide margin (yes, he ran as an Independent, but it was clear he would not vote with the Democratic majority).

It is our guess that Scott Brown will shortly convert to the Republican party. And there is little doubt he will vote against the national healthcare debacle.

Most of what we said prior to the election has come true. The Democrats have put us so far in a hole, that the light at the surface is no longer visible. They have claimed credit for the Fed’s actions to restore the economy. They have not delivered on any of their promises. And they have lied so much that if Pinnochio were a Democrat, his nose would reach from Provincetown, Massachusetts, to San Diego, California.

Obama actually came to Massachusetts to crush Scott Brown. The Democrats resorted to their lies and mudslinging in the campaign to get Democrat Martha Coakley elected after their attempts to get votes legitimately failed. Scott kept his head high and, in so doing, gained even more respect, as people looked on Coakley with total disdain.

Nothing the Democrats did could change the result, even in a state that is even more Democrat than Bill Ayers! Scott Brown and Massachusetts sent them a huge message. Stop lying and start doing something other than spending our money!!

Will someone tell us what Obama has accomplished since the election? Anything? Anyone? Well, to be honest, he did introduce his guests to Kobe Beef ON AMERICA’S NICKLE!!

And will someone PLEASE shut up that stupid comic, Wanda Sykes?? Every time she opens her mouth, all that comes out is nauseating nonsense. She was good on The Drew Carey show though, when she didn’t confuse her ability to make people laugh with intelligence.

We welcome Scott Brown and we welcome America to the reality of Obama’s first and last term.

G.O.P. Senate Victory Stuns Democrats

BOSTON — Scott Brown, a little-known Republican state senator, rode an old pickup truck and a growing sense of unease among independent voters to an extraordinary upset Tuesday night when he was elected to fill the Senate seat that was long held by Edward M. Kennedy in the overwhelmingly Democratic state of Massachusetts.

By a decisive margin, Mr. Brown defeated Martha Coakley, the state’s attorney general, who had been considered a prohibitive favorite to win just over a month ago after she easily won the Democratic primary.

With all precincts counted, Mr. Brown had 52 percent of the vote to Ms. Coakley’s 47 percent.

“Tonight the independent voice of Massachusetts has spoken,” Mr. Brown told his cheering supporters in a victory speech, standing in front of a backdrop that said “The People’s Seat.”

The election left Democrats in Congress scrambling to salvage a bill overhauling the nation’s health care system, which the late Mr. Kennedy had called “the cause of my life.” Mr. Brown has vowed to oppose the bill, and once he takes office the Democrats will no longer control the 60 votes in the Senate needed to overcome filibusters.

Obama And Music Industry (RIAA) Make Racist Attack On Rhode Island Favorite

There are moments when you spot hypocrisy outright, like when Obama passed laws that taxed cigarettes to death to get others to quit, and yet the man smokes for free on America’s nickel. He spends US tax dollars to pay for disability and medical benefits should he contract cancer, emphysema or other related diseases as a result of his idiocy. He makes no effort to provide an example by quitting for those he says must change. Obama’s mantra is “change”, so long as it is not he that must “change”.

Obama’s hypocrisy does not end there.

When you read this article about a man asked to pay $675k to record labels for illegally downloading songs, it almost seems surreal or laughable. It is the epitome of a judge trying to make an example of a single person, an average hard working American. Yet Obama endorses it. Do you think Obama would endorse such an action if Joel Tenenbaum, of Providence, R.I was a black man? How about if he were Henrietta Homeless, playing America’s heartstrings for more unjust retribution for being an irresponsible, but black, human being?

What is most interesting is that the music industry continues to choose to attack the weak (just not the politically incorrect weak), despite the fact the wealthy and famous, including Obama, rip off the system daily utilizing their wealth and power. However, notice how careful they are to only attack whites, because any other attack would be considered an attack on minorities and politically incorrect. Blacks make up half of the prison population in the US, but they only make up 13% of the US population. So statistically, shouldn’t we all realize, they never steal music?

We have child abusers in government (Barney Frank), we have murderers in government (Ted Kennedy, Chappaquiddick), and we have the penultimate paranoids (Richard Nixon, “I’m No Crook”) who is dead now, bless his soul. So much for every man being created equal. These men of power and wealth are rarely taken to task. For them, there is another interpretation of the Constitution. We are created equal, but wealth and power provide for criminal and hypocritical action and exoneration once born.

When you consider that music is all over the internet and readily available for download from almost anywhere, and that it is impossible for any individual to track what is or is not copyrighted, the ruling is idiotic on its face. We are willing to bet that the judge has stolen music on his IPOD, computer or other musical device. There are nations world-wide that market pirated CDs and music, and the industry has done little but whine about that fact. Why? Because they cannot use US litigation to intimidate people outside the US. Americans pay the ultimate price for international piracy? How is that fair?

And why does the music industry never pursue the rich, famous and powerful? Because they might lose? And there goes their entire argument down the toilet. It is easier to swat the little guy who cannot afford to defend himself or herself (although, notice, they rarely attack women). Then the industry adds to its success by getting the hypocritical rich and powerful to defend their actions. In such an instance, shouldn’t it be obvious that a class action against the music industry should be allowed to defend individual Americans from their actions? If the music industry or any large conglomerate pursues more than 10 people for a given action, those people should be able to defend themselves in concert to level the playing field.

Another issue regarding the industry’s unfair tactics is their obvious reverse discrimination. Why do they not swat the minorities or women? Because it is politically incorrect. Justice is once again… fabricated.

Unfortunately, in the US, the industry can still use financial leverage and select their politically correct targets. They can demand an individual pay some exorbitant amount to the industry or be forced to pay attorneys to defend themselves, while the industry utilizes attorneys already on full employ. Deep pockets are the advantage. That is exactly what our laws are supposed to protect the American citizen from. Yes folks, even the white ones. We are all supposed to be equal under the law, and until Lady Justice takes off her blindfold, this is completely biased bullying of the average citizen by billion dollar conglomerates because they cannot manage the fair distribution of their own product.

There is the other side, and we understand the argument. Copyrights provide people rights to their art and patents provide protections from the theft of any invention. These people deserve the right to their reward due to their writings or inventions. Problem is, those copyrights tend to get gobbled up by the rich conglomerates. In addition, the conglomerates steal regularly from the little guy, and few have the resources to fight them, and lose despite the fact they are right. Might makes right, something we in America preach against. These laws were created to protect the little guy from having his inventions and creations being stolen by industry, but equality is a myth once again.

In fact, the reverse is true. The industry is putting the sting on the little guy to set an example so they can protect billions, rather than attack those that could actually afford to defend themselves, while they care little about the real artist or inventor that cannot afford to prevent the theft of his or her work. The laws were intended to protect the artist or inventor, but, in reality, they protect the conglomerate, the Sony, the Capitol Records, the Universal Studios who take cheap shots at people like Joel Tenenbaum, of Providence, R.I utilizing their vast wealth and resources while avoiding attacks on the politically incorrect and those with financial resources.

And now we have our President speaking out on the matter? The hypocrisy of Obama, which is no surprise considering his actions from the start of his campaign and throughout his current administration, is clearly demonstrated throughout the world wide web, the very mechanism by which the music industry claims their works were stolen!! Obama is clearly calling the kettle black once again. Obama wants to nail a white boy for doing bad, when he himself is more of a criminal than Joel Tenenbaum, of Providence, R.I. There are only three huge differences. Power, Position and the Ability To LIE! A final fourth is Joel is a white boy.

Today Barack Obama passed a bill into law that is the toughest anti-smoking bill in history. He claims it is because of his struggle with the habit, but honestly, is he trying to quit? He won’t say. We sincerely doubt it.

Our opinion is that Obama is a complete hypocrite trying to appeal to the far left and go after smokers because it is the politically correct, albeit, hypocritical way to go. This man has no scruples. If he did, he would offer Americans guidance and leadership. If he had anything at all that makes up a decent human being and leader he would offer to quit in front of America and tell all those that smoked to quit with him. Instead he is forcing them to quit while he smokes behind closed doors. The man is despicable.

What is best about it is smokers will be hurt. They will remember. And despite what non-smokers think, they have their rights. They already cannot smoke in restaurants, bars, airplanes and just about anywhere else. Next they will be walking into their living rooms and prying the cigarettes from their tobacco-stained hands. Well, Obama doesn’t have to worry. At least the stains aren’t visible on his hands.

Kentucky Fraud Chicken – Fraud From KFC on Oprah Winfrey?

This past week, Kentucky Fried Chicken ran a promotion. The promotion was offered on the Oprah Winfrey show. KFC offered a free meal to their patrons to try KFC’s new grilled chicken. However, after going to the trouble of acquiring the coupon, printing it and driving to your local KFC, you do not get what KFC promises. You get the old bait and switch.

Orders to defraud customers apparently came from the top. Management at Yum brands told franchises to stop honoring the coupons even if they had product available. That’s right, the top brass at Yum Brands apparently sent a letter out to KFC franchises telling them not to honor KFC’s own promotion, and despite the franchises having plenty of product, customers are being turned away.

Opportunistic franchises are taking full advantage of KFC’s trickery, which is what we believe management intended all along. When you enter the door, the prices seem much higher than they were the week before, and they tell you that you cannot use your coupon, but they will give you a chance to get a rain check. To get the rain check you have to fill out what is essentially a rebate form and mail it. Guess what you get in return. Another coupon. The hope? That the new coupon will be worth more than the existing one was. This is a standard bait and switch tactic. You will walk out the door hungry or buy something else at an inflated price.

One could possibly understand a mistake on KFC’s part if the demand were too great for KFC, but KFC limited the offer. The download was available for a very short period: from 9am May 5 to 11:59pm (CDT) May 6. The coupons printed all have UPC codes, and when all the promotion coupons were gone, they were no longer available. They explicitly limited each household to 4 coupons. Management knew exactly how much the promotion would cost and how many coupons would be printed and took advantage of Oprah to bait and switch her audience.

A class action suit is likely, and Yum Brands, the parent company of KFC, will pay way more than if they just honored their offer. Management should be ashamed for lying to their customers in order to employ this obvious bait and switch tactic.

To confirm the facts, we decided to go to a KFC in Massachusetts to determine if the sham was fact. When we attempted to order, we indeed were informed that they would not honor the coupon because they were told by upper management at Yum Brands to not honor it. We were informed that the store had plenty of the chicken, so long as you paid for it.

KFC is not new to scamming the public. This suit was brought against KFC for falsely advertising their product before. Yum Brands has proven fraud is a way of life at their door.

Take Action. This isn’t just about a $5 Free meal.

KFC should be brought to task on the issue, and individual franchises should be brought to task for lying to their customers. To file your complaint, write to KFC yourself. Don’t try calling their 800 number, they just forward you to a recording admitting they were lying when they made the original offer. The recording says that because of overwhelming demand, KFC would no longer honor their promise. Honestly, anyone that believes they did not know in advance the demand would be overwhelming can also buy a bridge from Colonel Sanders after he rises from the grave.

We will make it easy for you to file your complaint. We will write the letter for you to use. You don’t have to use it verbatim, but if you do, it will get your point across. And who knows, maybe you will receive an apology and a coupon for a free meal to make up for your trouble.

Recently, you ran a promotion for grilled chicken meals at your KFC restaurants on Oprah. Despite the fact that you limited the number of coupons printed and were well aware of the demand for your product, you chose to stop honoring your own coupons, greatly inconveniencing your customers.

This was clearly a case of fraud and an intended bait and switch tactic, and I, as a KFC customer, am disgusted with your practices. If you choose to run a promotion, it is your responsibility to anticipate and meet the demand. If supply were a problem, perhaps a rain check is in order, but to actually have the product at your franchises, but to deny the product to customers that have the coupon is complete fraud.

To offer a “rebate” in return to just get another coupon is even more insulting to your customers, who, as you know, will likely enter your store hungry and still purchase something. The bait and switch strategy you are using is revolting to us as a customer of KFC and as consumers. To abuse your customers in this fashion during difficult economic times is disgraceful.

We are writing you and copying the FCC and our local State fraud agencies about your tactics and hope that a class action suit is brought against Yum Brands for your fraudulent sales tactics.

Do you remember grade school? Those times the teacher punished everyone in the classroom for Johnny’s bad behavior? You remember, I am sure. Johnny gets caught cheating on a test, and the teacher says that everyone has to stay after school or do an essay or whatever because Johnny needs to learn their lesson. Or is it they need to learn Johnny’s lesson? Hmmmm. It is a peer pressure tactic to make the class hate Johnny.

We had teachers that used this common peer pressure tactic. We thought it was unfair and showed a general lack of intellect on the teacher’s part. In society, it would be like finding a sexual offender in a neighborhood and putting the entire neighborhood on the offender list. It would be like catching Son of Sam in the park murdering a young couple and sending everyone that went to the park that day to prison for life. It would be like catching a thief robbing a bank and arresting the customers of the bank as accomplices. It is stupid on its face.

So, what did the Democratic Congress do in response to the bonuses given to AIG executives today? They overwhelmingly passed a bill to impose an across the board 90% tax on all officers of the company that make more than the Obama magic number, $250,000. The employees did not even have to have worked at AIG during the period that led to the need for the bail-out. And the government wants to apply it to all bailed out companies that received more than 5 billion in bail out money, but exclude those receiving smaller amounts no matter how criminal their officers may have been.

So, let’s see if we get this straight. A complete criminal making less than 250K in salary is exempt and can receive billion dollar bonuses without the law impacting him. However, a completely innocent executive making $250,000 pays 90% of any bonus to the IRS? Banks that used less bail-out money, regardless of how much they earned or their overall size, get a “Get Out Of Jail Free” card.

What is most pathetic about this response to the bonuses is that government is not standing up and accepting the blame for the current financial crisis. Congress is just as responsible for the problems we face as any financial institution, but they blame and penalize others while they dine on Wagyu beef, spend a trillion bucks on a “spendulus” package and receive sizable paychecks and government benefits. Shoot, many of Obama’s nominees for the administration evaded taxes. We don’t see government reducing their own paychecks or benefits for their hand in destroying our economy.

Obama is now lying about his own administration to distance himself from the debacle. When it was indicated that Richard Holbrooke, Obama’s appointed envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, was an executive at AIG from 2001-2008, during the very time the bonuses were approved, Obama and his point men asserted their AIG crony didn’t know about the bonuses. Well, does that mean that any executive that says he didn’t know about the bonus get to keep it? Or even better, maybe he can instead get appointed to the Obama staff.

How can you take a broad tax swipe at these people? Not everyone in every bailed out company was at fault. In fact, the federal government was equally if not more at fault. The government is assigning guilt to everyone except themselves, and, if this bill is passed into law through the Senate and Obama, is stealing bonuses that the companies had contractually agreed upon. You are guilty as charged if you work for the wrong bank and you made more than the guilty number, $250,000. Government is using the tax as a diversionary tactic to placate the electorate infuriated over bonuses they don’t understand and that were exaggerated by the media. All the while, they are attempting to rob many innocent people blind. Can you say Robin Hood?

And don’t think the Democrats won’t find some way to take the stipulations off and apply the “theft tax” to other executives going forward. Taxes have a way of being spread around.

Some people believe that the tax is morally just. But the government doesn’t care about morality folks. They only care about your vote. They are patronizing you at others expense.

As a primary example of a morally unjust tax, one has to wonder about a government that for years has preached family values, and yet imposes a marriage tax on married couples. The reason this tax exists is because the government cannot afford to lose it. It is immoral, contradicts the governments own doctrine, and is completely unfair to working families. Just as any other unjust tax, once that tax is instated, goverment finds a way to make it grow and negatively impact as many people as possible. Fiddling While Rome Burns, Obama Ignores America’s Real Problem

Since the election, our stock markets have crumbled to 15 year lows. The Dow and NASDAQ fall almost every day. Great institutions like Bank Of America and General Electric collapse to new lows no one ever believed possible.

So, as our economy is being destroyed, what would the most logical and sane leader do? Would you think the person would focus on the state of the economy? Do you think the leader would try to unite the nation behind rebuilding before taking on controversial partisan issues that have no urgency?

Obama has chosen to focus in divisive and expensive policies that hurt America and has broken his promise to regulate our institutions to better serve us. Our 401K’s crumble in his wake. Our savings dissolve. Our banks succumb.

But at least we know now that stem cells from fetuses can be used to make us a leader in the research of how to use murdered unborn children to advance our science. We will lead the world in murder of unborn children while Obama can’t even address a simple problem like stopping illegal short sellers from trashing our markets.

If you think Obama will save America, you have to believe in miracles. We are a bit more pragmatic. Real action has to be taken. Obama and the Democrats have done nothing but spend money. Liberals cry about the debt brought about by the GOP and the war, but Obama and the Democratic Congress have committed to spending more in several weeks than government did in the last 8 years including the expense of the war.

During the campaign, McCain called for the SEC Chairman’s head on a platter. That would be a start. Obama promised to bring back regulations to help our markets mend. Not one regulation has been forthcoming and all could have been easily passed into law by now without spending a trillion dollars on a massive so-called stimulus package. The complacency seems to imply either the total inability of government to act, or worse, an intent to bring down our financial markets.

The government stimulus philosophy is misguided. Bail out the criminal institutions, pay down the mortgages of the irresponsible and raise taxes on the middle class to pay for it all, after they watched their savings dissolve trusting the government and the institutions we are bailing out in the first place.

Democrats and Republicans alike made this mess. It is government’s fault. Alan Greenspan, Barney Frank and George Bush all are to blame. In his campaign, Obama made promises to reinstate regulations and to use responsible fiscal policies. So far, Obama has made no indication he has any clue how to address the problems and has been anything but responsible. Our markets are continuing to crumble at an astronomical rate and they are demonstrating how inept Washington is when it comes to protecting American citizens. No action has been taken to stem the tide. None. If the slogan is “Yes We Can”, we would like to ask, “When Will You Start?”.Popular Posts:

The liberal media has gone silent about Henrietta Hughes, the woman that begged for aid from Obama during his campaign to promote the spendulus bill. We find this quite amusing considering the way they attacked Joe The Plumber during the Presidential campaign. Joe adorned their front pages daily for weeks as they accused him of being the ultimate GOP miscreant.

If you recall, Joe The Plumber was paraded across every liberal media outlet as a fraud because he was not actually licensed yet, which was intentionally played to make people think he lied. In actuality, all he did was quickly answer a question about his occupation, which is indeed plumbing.

Joe never took anything from the system he did not deserve, he worked for it. He did not paint himself as homeless and hide what he owned to steal our tax dollars. He was, unfortunately, exploited by the lie-beral media. Fortunately, he overcame his bad publicity and became famous.

We really have to chuckle at the liberal media attack on Joe that claimed he was behind on his taxes. If that is true, we wonder why he wasn’t nominated to Obama’s administration. Joe got significantly more press for being a bit behind on his taxes than Tom Daschle did for his obvious illegal evasion. Tom had to later decline his nomination as did several of Obama’s chosen. They were stealing tax dollars while they seek to raise middle class taxes.

The hypocrisy of the liberal media speaks for itself. Henrietta has been shown to be a complete fraud and the media has silenced their praise. Do they point out their blunder? Do they admit that Obama staged a lie? Do any of them have the courage to admit their headlines were total distortions?

Had Henrietta actually turned out to be homeless, and this entirely staged Obama act was real, the media would have her face plastered on every page and the liberals would be parading her through Times Square, or at least through Washington. Henrietta would adorn a 60 minutes headline piece along with Obama grinning his condescending pompous grin while being chased by an adoring liberal correspondent.

It hasn’t happened because they want you to forget. They know Obama lied. They know they lied. And they know you know they lied. Sad isn’t it?Popular Posts:

A Call For A Boycott Of Bailed Out Banks Robbing Americans

We have watched closely to see how the banks that received the biggest bail-outs would respond to the assistance they received. We thought that banks such as Citibank and Bank Of America would be grateful to America and would demonstrate their gratitude in some way.

Instead, as it turns out, they are doing just the opposite, boosting fees and interest rates on the very taxpayers whose money kept them from folding.

According to the LA Times, “Millions of cardholders have recently received letters from the likes of Citibank, Bank of America Corp., Wells Fargo & Co. and American Express Co. notifying them that their interest rates are going up, in some cases to 30% if a single payment is missed.” This while they pay approximately 1% for money deposited in their savings accounts.

We have noted in other articles, Citibank and Bank Of America are also charging the highest mortgage rates in the nation while not only taking billions from America, but getting essentially more free cash injections from the Federal Reserve.

We believe these banks should be boycotted. As an act of protest, Americans should refuse to do business with these banks until they have the respect to honor the nation that assisted them. The Obama administration is worried about the high salaries and bonuses of the board members of these companies. Wage control is not the solution however and is a primary tenet of socialism. Washington should be more concerned with regulating these banks so they cannot extort money from more Americans.

Our Citibank account will shortly be closed. Our American Express will be destroyed. And we will phase out our long standing accounts with Bank Of America. We just cannot do business with these institutions knowing that they are continuing to use some of the predatory lending practices that contributed to their dependence on our tax dollars for survival.Popular Posts:
