During the House Ways and Means Committee questioning of IRS head John Koskinen, Democrats Joe Crowley of New York and Lloyd Doggett of Texas dismissed the entire investigation into the “lost” Lois Lerner emails as an empty conspiracy chase.
Crowley compared those seeking to get to the bottom of the IRS scandal to the search for Obama’s birth certificate:

OMG. Crowley (D-NY) comparing concerns about #IRS targeting to birthers!

Clown @repjoecrowley brings up birther conspiracy to try to discredit IRS scandal. His entire statement is just that, not 1 question asked.

If you don't trust the #IRS, you're a birther or something, says NY Rep. Joe Crowley as he advises Koskinen not to answer his questions.

Prior to Crowley’s questioning, Rep. Doggett took a similar approach, but also threw in Area 51 and Benghazi:
Doggett asks Koskinen if he's ever been to #Benghazi, had anything to do with Area 51 or "had custody of the President's birth certificiate"

Rep. Doggett bringing up Benghazi, Area 51, Barack Obama's birth certificate at #IRS hearing. So inappropriate.

Disgusting flippancy, but what else should we to expect from the Obama administration’s devoted guardians in Congress?
